CameraOne requirements

IMPORTANT: Before installing CameraOne, ensure your system meets the following requirements:

Hardware
  • Intel Core i7 (9th generation or later) 3GHz +
  • Min. 16GB memory
  • Min. 200GB storage

Note: Video recording uses approx. 50 MB/min. Video purge settings can be adjusted.

Software
  • Software
  • Windows 10 / Windows Server 2019 or later
  • Microsoft .NET Core 6
Additional Equipment
  • Blackmagic ATEM Mini/Mini Pro/Mini Pro ISO/Mini Extreme/Mini Extreme
ISO switcher / ATEM SDI / ATEM SDI Pro Extreme
See next page for a breakdown of variants.
  • Audio interface for mic audio signals
Not required for RØDECaster, Axia or Wheatstone.
  • 3.5mm jack from audio mixer into MIC1 on ATEM Mini (set to Line input) to capture
master audio output for video recording (see page 4 for further instructions).
Equipment set up

The positioning of the CameraOne host PC, ATEM switcher and cameras is governed by cable length limitations.

  • We recommend using a high-quality USB3 cable no longer than 4m to
connect the ATEM Mini switcher to the CameraOne host PC.
  • We recommend using high-quality HDMI cables no longer than 10m to connect the cameras to
the ATEM switcher (For longer runs, consider using an SDI version of the ATEM Mini).
Any PC/device connected to the network can view and control the CameraOne browser interface.
(Set access permissions in the Security tab)

Important
  • Use a good quality USB3 cable (max. 4m) to connect the switcher to the PC (USB2 may cause unstable video). Note: It is not possible to use USB extenders with the ATEM range
  • To Live Stream via the ATEM Mini switcher, ensure the switcher has a wired network connection.
  • Live video preview in the CameraOne interface is currently only available via USB connection (via PC and ATEM).
Hard drive recording
  • When using a USB-C hard drive recording, a wired network connection to the ATEM is required. Files are deleted from the hard drive when transferred to the PC.
  • Browser video preview not currently available when recording to a hard drive connected to the ATEM. (Use HDMI output for preview).
ISO models
  • ISO models enable the recording of H.264 isolated camera feeds (+program) to a USB-C hard drive connected to the ATEM switcher – ISO recordings can be retrieved over the network via the CameraOne interface.
  • When ISO recordings are transferred over the network to the host PC, they are deleted from the attached hard drive.
