Installing an application within a Virtual Rack is designed to be as easy as possible.
Once an application is downloaded from within the Library tab, it can simply be installed from the install tab.
In the image above, where it shows “Available (15)”, this displays the remaining available AU (Application Units). The resources needed for the selected application can be seen to the left under “Resources”. Virtual Rack will ensure that there are enough available AUs to install the selected app.
Basic Application Installation Steps:
- Select the application to install
- Name the application
- If the VRA is paired, a mirror appliance can be configured
- Set the IP address for the application (some applications support multiple networks for LAN/WAN and Audio networks)
- Click Install to complete the installation
The App will now install and upon completion will be visible on the main window, and will automatically start.
Once the application is in the green state, it is running and usable. To access the application, click the Web Interface button to proceed directly to it.
To import a backup, simply select “Import App Backup” in the Application Drop Down, then select the backup to import.
